3 - SPINACH OMELETTE (TORTILLA DE ESPINACAS)




Hello everybody!!!! Again, yes its me again, you may think... Victor is back again!!!! my God what a pain in the.... person hahaha.... Always wanting to grab everybody's attention.... And I say; yes its true I am not going to say no, the thing is that without people who is not interested in my blog, then there is no reason for this blog to exist....I think I am becoming too philosophical...

Well, Today's recipe is an omelette made with spinach and is a very delicious and fun way to get kids into the habit of eating this sort of vegetables, that cooked in other ways it may not look so appetizing food for them. I also hope this recipe is welcome by Vegetarian people too.

INGREDIENTS for 4 people:

- 300 grams of fresh Spinach leaves.


- 1/4 of a full Garlic sliced.


- 3 tablespoon of Olive Oil.


-  6 whisked eggs with 1/2 teaspoon of Salt added into it.



STEP 1 - 300 grams of fresh Spinach (thoroughly washed) leaves and chopped Garlic.
STEP 2 - Add 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil into a deep pan and when oil is very hot add the chopped garlic and stir it till slightly golden brown.
STEP 3 - Add the Spinach...
STEP 4, 5 - ...and with a wooden spoon keep moving the spinach till thoroughly cooked...
STEP 5
STEP 6 - Then you will notice the Spinach will release water so also will get partially boiled in its own Spinach juice, so when you get to this point keep cooking the Spinach for extra 2 minutes.
STEP 7 - Then take the Spinach off the deep pan and squeeze them to drain the excess of water and place them on a dish, on the other hand keep ready 6 whisked eggs to with you have added 1/2 teaspoon of Salt.
STEP 8 - Add 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil into a very hot small pan...
STEP 9 -...and wen Oil is very hot add the whisked Eggs.
STEP 10 - Allow for whisked Eggs to cook for 15 seconds and then...
STEP 11 - ... add the Spinach.
STEP 12 - Keep moving the mixture with wooden spoon till Eggs become more and more solid.
STEP 13 - And move again... :-)
STEP 14 - Once Eggs are almost cooked then with the wooden spoon keep flattening.
STEP 16 - by doing this what you can see now on this picture is the bottom side of the Omelette turned up.
STEP 17 - Then we place the omelette back into the pan and cook this side for 1 minute and which the wooden spoon keep flattening, then repeat this operation twice for each side of the Omelette allowing to cook for 1 extra minute for each side and keeping flattening.
STEP 18 - Place a plate upside down on top of the pan and then with one hand holding the dish against the pan and with the other hand grabbing the handle of the pan, then turn altogether 180 degrees so that the dish ends up at the bottom and the pan on top of the dish...
STEP 19 - The Omelette is ready to serve.
STEP 20 - As you can see on this picture this kind of Omelette can be by its own, with a bit of Mayonnaise, Salad or as a side dish for any Meat. This picture is an example of SPINACH OMELETTE TAPA.

My dear blog-reader from Japan, Kiyomi-san also cooked spinach omelette, and of course as everybody else she put her especial touch on it. She told me the omelette is was really tasty and delicious and it was very easy to make. This Spinach Omelette presentation has a beautiful Asian looking.
